Silang Technology is a domestic autonomous semiconductor unicorn enterprise originating from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on the research and development of proprietary processor cores, chip design, and industrial application, with a core focus on the two major fields of communication-computing convergence and scientific intelligence. The company was established in June 2016 and has since set up R&D centers, computing power platforms, and industrial bases in Chengdu, Beijing, Xiaogan, Hefei, and other locations. In December 2025, the company completed its filing for guidance and supervision with the Shanghai Securities Regulatory Bureau, and in just one month, it successfully completed all pre-listing guidance work by January 2026.

The company's core technology is the 100% independently controllable MaPU architecture. This architecture combines the programmability of CPUs, the flexibility of FPGAs, and the efficiency of ASICs, making it suitable for scenarios such as algebraic operations and intensive computing. Founder Wang Donglin proposed the concept of the MaPU algebraic operation processor architecture as early as 2009, leading the team through long-term technical challenges and chip performance verification.

Based on the MaPU architecture, Silang Technology has built a "chip + complete machine" product system covering fields such as communications, scientific computing, and multimedia processing. In the communication chip UCP series, the UCP1002 is China's first domestic 5G small cell baseband chip based on an independent core; the UCP4008 is an enterprise-grade 5G small cell dedicated chip capable of full-protocol autonomous processing; the flagship product UCP8016 "Xin Chip" is China's first communication-computing integrated chip, enabling the convergence of communication and AI applications, fully supporting 5G, 6G, and low-orbit satellite internet scenarios. In scientific computing, the Tianqiong 3D Scientific Computer adopts a full 3D interconnect design, targeting cutting-edge scientific research scenarios such as molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and industrial simulation. Additionally, the company offers other products like the UMP high-definition video chip.

In terms of market application, the company's products have achieved large-scale deployment in both public and private networks. In the public network domain, it serves the three major telecom operators, Datang Mobile, Xinhua Three, and other enterprises; in the private network domain, it is applied in scenarios such as low-orbit satellite internet constellations and satellite communication ground equipment. Products have also entered scientific research institutes, universities, and leading enterprises in industries such as new energy, biomedicine, and new materials.

According to the prospectus, from 2023 to 2025, Silang Technology's operating revenue was 251 million yuan, 424 million yuan, and 673 million yuan, respectively; net profit attributable to the parent company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was -319 million yuan, -323 million yuan, and -372 million yuan, reflecting a loss-making state during the R&D investment period. The company's largest customer is Changjiang Kesuan, with revenue contribution exceeding 95%.

The company's shareholders include Shanghai Lianhe, CATL, SMIC Juyuan, Jicchuang North, Yijing Capital, Haohe Capital, Lianhe Investment, and Moutai Science and Technology Innovation Fund. Founder and Chief Scientist Wang Donglin is the actual controller, directly holding 19.21% of the company's shares, and indirectly holding 15.04% through Shanghai Chengyue and Shanghai Langyan, for a total of 34.24%. Wang Donglin previously served as the Director of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Director of the National ASIC Design Engineering Technology Research Center. After retiring from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016, he led the team to establish Silang Technology.
