Huakang Medical, as a member of the consortium, is expected to have a corresponding share of approximately 180 million yuan.
The Jiufengshan Semiconductor Production and Manufacturing Base project covers a planned area of about 214 mu (approximately 14.27 hectares), with a total construction area of approximately 390,000 square meters. The construction content is oriented towards the research, development, and production of semiconductor epitaxial wafers and substrate wafers. The project is advanced using the general contracting model, involving multiple stages such as design, procurement, construction, mechanical and electrical installation, cleanroom facility support, and production space delivery.
The production of semiconductor epitaxial wafers and substrate wafers imposes high requirements on the environmental control of the plant. Relevant production spaces typically need to be equipped with cleanroom systems, temperature and humidity control systems, airflow organization systems, process exhaust systems, high-purity media systems, power stations, mechanical and electrical pipelines, and automated monitoring systems. The share expected to be undertaken by Huakang Medical is approximately 180 million yuan, likely corresponding to its engineering capabilities in cleanroom engineering, mechanical and electrical system integration, and controlled environment construction.
The amount for Lot 2 of the project's EPC general contracting reaches 1.956 billion yuan, indicating that the project is not merely the construction of a single plant, but encompasses the overall engineering system of the production and manufacturing base. A semiconductor material production base requires unified planning of the R&D area, production plants, power support, warehousing logistics, testing spaces, and utility systems. The Jiufengshan Semiconductor Production and Manufacturing Base is located in the relevant area of the Jiufengshan Science and Technology Park in Wuhan's Optics Valley. Previously, the project had initiated EPC bidding, with a planned construction period of 730 days and a total investment of approximately 5.2 billion yuan. The Jiufengshan Science and Technology Park can accommodate the implementation of advanced production lines such as 8-inch MEMS and 12-inch silicon-based gallium nitride, while the production and manufacturing base serves as the spatial carrier for functions ranging from semiconductor material R&D and pilot testing to mass production.
For Huakang Medical, winning this bid continues the expansion of its electronic cleanroom engineering business. The company previously relied on medical cleanroom engineering as its primary business foundation, but in recent years has entered the cleanroom plant scenarios for semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and high-end equipment. After the implementation of the Jiufengshan Semiconductor Production and Manufacturing Base EPC project, its engineering content will revolve around the cleanroom environment, mechanical and electrical systems, utility engineering, and plant services required for semiconductor material production. The project will subsequently enter stages such as design detailing, procurement organization, on-site construction, and system commissioning.
