en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, 2026, the Finance Department of Tonglüshan Mine, under China Nonferrous Metals Group's Daye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., released production data showing that the mine's copper output in the first half of the year reached 103.47% of the half-year plan, successfully achieving the production and operation goal of "half time, half task." Located in Daye City, Huangshi City, Hubei Province, this mine is a comprehensive copper mine integrating mining, beneficiation, and smelting. Its mining history dates back to the Shang and Yin dynasties, with modern mining operations beginning in 1965. It is one of the main production bases for copper raw materials under China Nonferrous Metals Group's Daye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd.
Facing challenges such as complex geological conditions in deep underground mining and overlapping production pressures, Tonglüshan Mine established specialized task forces to address production bottlenecks, including insufficient transportation capacity and ore bin blockages. The mine systematically optimized its ore blending, transportation, and equipment maintenance systems, steadily improving production capacity and the grade of selected copper. In the mining and excavation phase, the mine ensured stable ore output through measures such as scientifically adjusting stope layouts, optimizing blasting parameters, and strengthening ore extraction management.
In terms of intelligent transformation, Tonglüshan Mine accelerated the construction of a smart mine, with 14 intelligent upgrade projects implemented. High-risk underground positions have been replaced by mechanized and automated operations, and remote centralized control systems and automated equipment have been deployed in key production processes. In the beneficiation phase, the mine leveraged collaborative research between industry, academia, and research institutions to continuously optimize beneficiation process parameters, maintaining a stable copper recovery rate of 92.63%. The mine maintains long-term cooperation with universities and research institutes such as Central South University, achieving multiple breakthroughs in the comprehensive utilization of low-grade ores and the beneficiation technology of complex and refractory ores. In terms of resource continuity, the mine has added copper and iron metal reserves through geological prospecting, solidifying the resource foundation for sustainable development.
Tonglüshan Mine is one of the core mines of Daye Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metals Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., a central state-owned enterprise. Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Huangshi City, Hubei Province, Daye Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings Co., Ltd. is one of China's backbone copper industry enterprises, owning major mines such as Tonglüshan Mine and Tongshankou Mine, along with a comprehensive smelting and processing system. In 2025, the company produced approximately 600,000 tons of cathode copper. The overfulfillment of Tonglüshan Mine's half-year production target has laid a solid foundation for achieving the annual production and operation goals of China Nonferrous Metals Group's Daye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., and also provides valuable experience for stable and increased production under deep mining conditions in the domestic copper mining industry.
