en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ares Secondaries funds has joined Sabey Data Center Properties (SDCP) as a minority equity investor, a move facilitated by Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors, expanding the institutional ownership base of this private US data center platform. The investment size and financial terms were not disclosed.

As of March 31, 2026, SDCP operated six energized data center campuses with a total operational capacity of approximately 251 megawatts, including 76 megawatts of built-out power shell capacity. This portfolio comprises over 4 million square feet of mission-critical space. According to SDCP, based on existing land reserves, current capacity is expected to triple by 2036. Following the transaction, Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors will continue as co-owners and operators of SDCP. The addition of Ares Secondaries funds brings another institutional capital partner to SDCP. SDCP is currently advancing capacity development within its existing campuses while evaluating potential opportunities in other US data center markets. According to Ares, the operational portfolio serves a broad tenant base, primarily consisting of investment-grade enterprises and hyperscale cloud service providers. Ares Secondaries funds is part of Ares Management Corporation.
Tim Mirick, President of SDCP, stated: "Welcoming Ares as an investor is a strong endorsement of the SDCP platform, our team, and our view on the long-term demand for large-scale data center infrastructure. With the support of Sabey, National, and now Ares, we can effectively execute our disciplined growth strategy and deliver the mission-critical capacity our clients need." Evercore and Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory served as financial advisors to SDCP on this transaction. As demand for artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure continues to grow, driving increased demand for energized land and development pipelines, SDCP joins the ranks of private data center operators actively attracting institutional capital through this deal. SDCP's ability to expand capacity using existing land provides a growth path that may reduce the need for land acquisition and site selection in new data center developments.
