en.Wedoany.com Reported - The construction of the gas processing plant at the Kashagan oil field in Kazakhstan has entered a critical phase. According to the latest official data, the overall completion rate of the project has reached 61.4%, with 98% of major equipment delivered. Following the current schedule, the project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2026.
Alibek Zhamauov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan's national gas company QazaqGaz, stated that the plant at the Kashagan field has an annual design capacity of 1 billion cubic meters. The construction of this facility is a key measure for Kazakhstan to improve its natural gas industry chain and enhance resource utilization efficiency.
In terms of natural gas transportation, the second pipeline project of the Beineu—Bozoi—Shymkent main gas pipeline is also progressing simultaneously. Currently, the basic design work for the project has been fully completed, engineering surveys have reached 98%, and the overall design progress stands at 35.56%.

According to the plan of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy, by 2030, the second Kashagan gas processing plant and the Karachaganak gas processing plant will also be put into operation successively. Among them, the second plant has an annual design capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters. Once all projects are completed, they will further enhance Kazakhstan's deep processing capacity for natural gas and its energy export potential, while providing long-term stable support for domestic natural gas supply.
