China's National Energy Administration Approves Cancellation of Registration for Baizhangji First-Level Hydropower Station Dam in Zhejiang
en.Wedoany.com Reported - The General Department of the National Energy Administration recently issued a reply letter, approving the cancellation of the safety registration certificate for the dam of the Baizhangji First-Level Hydropower Station in Zhejiang.

The hydropower station has a total installed capacity of 31,200 kilowatts, falling under the category of small hydropower. Previously, the local water administrative department had approved its dam registration, and the Zhejiang Energy Regulatory Office as well as the dam supervisory authority also agreed to the cancellation. This cancellation process complies with the provisions of the "Notice on Strengthening Safety Supervision of Small Hydropower Stations" (Hydropower [2009] No. 585) and the "Reply Letter from the General Department of the National Energy Administration on Matters Concerning the Cancellation of Registration Procedures for Small Hydropower Station Dams" (Guo Neng Zong An Quan [2016] No. 154).
According to the requirements of the reply letter, the Dam Safety Supervision Center must complete the cancellation procedures for the dam safety registration certificate of the Baizhangji First-Level Hydropower Station in Zhejiang in accordance with regulations, and promptly notify in writing the dam operating entity, the dam supervisory authority, the Zhejiang Provincial Energy Administration, the Zhejiang Energy Regulatory Office, as well as the local government's water administrative and flood control and drought relief authorities of the cancellation status.
From the date the cancellation procedures for the dam safety registration certificate of the Baizhangji First-Level Hydropower Station in Zhejiang are completed, the National Energy Administration will no longer assume responsibility for the safety production and dam operation safety supervision of this hydropower station.
