en.Wedoany.com Reported - Cyta, the Cypriot telecommunications operator, has acquired the RedMax data center located in the Latsia Industrial Area. The company announced this week that it has signed an agreement to purchase the facility, but the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Latsia is a municipality in the southeastern suburbs of Nicosia. RedMax is a Cypriot information technology and telecommunications company founded in 2004.
The first phase of the RedOne data center, under RedMax, was commissioned in December 2025. Located at 193 Giannou Kranidioti Avenue, the facility has a total white space area of 1,300 square meters (13,993 square feet), can accommodate up to 420 racks, and is equipped with an air cooling system supporting densities of up to 7kW. The facility is powered by a 2MW on-site substation and features 640kWp of photovoltaic power generation along with battery storage. Cyta plans to expand the facility. The first phase of the new infrastructure is expected to be operational in early 2027. The company stated that upon completion, the facility will become the largest private data center in Cyprus.
State-owned telecommunications company Cyta, established in 1955, operates fiber optic networks and a 5G deployment covering the entire island, while also owning and operating submarine cables and cable landing stations. Last year, the company acquired a 1MW data center in Larnaca from Simplex and operates another facility in Nicosia.
