en.Wedoany.com Reported - Geely, the Chinese automaker, has launched the new "Galaxy Cruiser 700" plug-in hybrid SUV, which combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with three electric motors, delivering a total system output of 1,113 hp. This figure is more than double the 533 hp of the most powerful Land Rover Defender model, the 2027 Octa. The vehicle features one front-axle motor and two rear-axle motors, achieving a power level comparable to the YangWang U8 launched several years ago.
As a plug-in hybrid, the Galaxy Cruiser 700 offers a pure electric range of up to 217 miles (approximately 350 km). It is equipped with Geely's self-developed 70 kWh "Golden Short Blade" battery pack and a 900-volt electrical architecture. The specific charging power supported by the vehicle has not yet been announced, but it is theoretically capable of relatively fast charging speeds.

In addition to the powertrain, the model is equipped with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system powered by artificial intelligence (AI), offering front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive modes. It integrates active torque vectoring, crab walk functionality, and tank turn capability.
In terms of exterior design, the vehicle's overall silhouette bears similarities to the Land Rover Defender and Toyota Land Cruiser, striking a balance between ruggedness and elegance. The front fascia features a glowing Geely emblem, bright red tow hooks, and a blacked-out bumper. The body is equipped with black wheel arches and side skirts, a LiDAR unit on the roof, and an externally mounted spare tire carrier between the LED taillights at the rear.

Inside, the dashboard features a tablet-style infotainment screen, a robust gear shifter, and a center console with knurled metal knobs and multiple physical switches.
