Under SGN's GD3 five-year planning framework, the company has been selected as a trusted contractor eligible to bid for major engineering and construction projects on the gas network. The GD3 plan aims to maintain, upgrade, and refurbish the gas infrastructure.
The scope of work includes replacing aging gas infrastructure, enhancing network safety and reliability, and building new facilities to support the UK's low-carbon transition.
United Infrastructure has secured positions in both the "Design & Build" and "Mechanical & Civils" categories, enabling it to participate in projects spanning the full lifecycle from early design to construction and installation. This appointment builds on successful collaboration during previous investment cycles and expands the company's service scope within the SGN framework.
