en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brett Group has expanded its aggregate and concrete supply capacity in southern England by adding Chichester Rail Siding and Shoreham Wharf, forming a more comprehensive distribution network.

The two new facilities complement Brett's existing operations in Newhaven and Portsmouth, enabling its distribution network to cover customers along the South Coast and extend towards the M25 corridor. Under the new network layout, Chichester Rail Siding will primarily supply rock and secondary aggregate products, while Shoreham Wharf will focus on marine aggregates and ready-mix concrete. Through these strategically located regional distribution points, Brett can offer a wider range of construction materials.
Phil Coupland, Managing Director of Brett Aggregates, said the new sites build on the existing supply of construction materials in both locations. Coupland noted that Chichester and Shoreham have long supplied materials for construction projects, and the company looks forward to continuing this development. He believes this investment will improve product availability and strengthen the company's regional presence, meaning customers can get the right products at the right time and place, while providing the team with an opportunity to enhance its influence from the South Coast to the M25 corridor.
In addition to expanding market coverage, the new sites are expected to drive greater use of rail and sea transport for aggregate delivery. Shifting more material transport from road to rail and water will help improve supply efficiency and reduce heavy vehicle traffic in the region. This expansion continues Brett's long-term investment in marine and rail infrastructure. In recent years, the company has gradually refined its South Coast logistics network, including the opening of the Portsmouth marine aggregate terminal to improve local construction material supply and support more sustainable freight transport.
