en.Wedoany.com Reported - Khabarovskaya TETs-3 Thermal Power Plant (Хабаровская ТЭЦ-3) has received approximately 6 billion rubles in funding to launch the largest repair project in its 40-year history, primarily focusing on a major overhaul of Unit 1. The repair work began at the end of May and is expected to be completed by early November; according to the press service of the Khabarovsk Territory branch of Far Eastern Generating Company (АО «ДГК»), the equipment's efficiency, economy, and environmental performance will be improved upon completion of the repairs.

During the repair process, specialists will replace over 1,000 tons of metal structures on boiler and turbine equipment, install a new startup system for the generating unit, and a modern automation system. There are 350 contract workers operating in two shifts on site, and the progress is ahead of schedule, said Alexey Boyarkin (Алексей Бояркин), Deputy Chief Engineer of TETs-3.
During the shutdown of heating equipment from July 6 to 24, power workers will repair and replace shut-off and control valves, clean large-diameter pipelines, inspect flow orifice diaphragms, and prepare for industrial safety inspections.
Eduard Surnin (Эдуард Сурнин), the plant director, emphasized that these measures are a key stage of winter preparation, and the maximum workload during the shutdown will ensure the reliable operation of the thermal power plant during the cold season.
