en.Wedoany.com Reported - OmniTRAX has deployed an autonomous track inspection system on its new affiliate, the Central Texas and Colorado River Railway (CTXR).
The Argus Track Measurement Technology, manufactured by Holland L.P., continuously measures track conditions to monitor rail safety and identify any anomalies. Track inspection technology plays a vital role in preventing derailments and enabling data-driven maintenance planning.
Sergio Sabatini, President and Chief Operating Officer of OmniTRAX, stated that the Argus system monitors track conditions in real time during each train operation, thereby enhancing service reliability for rail transport.
Earlier this year, OmniTRAX restored operations on the 49-mile CTXR line, which had been idle since 2019. The line connects with BNSF Railway in Lometa, Texas. OmniTRAX currently operates 35 railways serving ports and industrial parks across the country.
