The tour, open to AI-RAN Alliance members and attendees, showcased the radio unit's performance in a multi-vendor O-RAN reference environment.

The tour coincided with the AI-RAN Alliance annual meeting, drawing approximately 120 visitors to the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR) facility in Chandler, Arizona. VALOR is an environment purpose-built for AI-enabled testing, integrating a library of over 600 automated test cases, a 25x35-foot RF anechoic chamber, GPU infrastructure from leading AI companies in the industry, and a live multi-vendor O-RAN reference configuration. Partially funded by the NTIA's Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, the lab is the first in the industry to be recognized by the AI-RAN Alliance.

AmpliTech's 64T64R radio was used for live demonstrations during the tour, providing attendees with a firsthand look at its performance in a multi-vendor O-RAN reference environment—the kind of real-world validation increasingly demanded by operators and integrators before large-scale deployment. Since opening in 2024, the VALOR lab has executed over 2,100 test runs covering 377 test cases, with an average utilization rate of 75%, reflecting strong industry demand for this testing infrastructure.

AmpliTech's inclusion in the VALOR demonstration environment alongside other leading O-RAN suppliers indicates that the radio unit continues to gain validation at an increasing number of independent testing sites, including Northeastern University's Open6G OTIC and the O-RAN ALLIANCE Spring 2026 Global PlugFest (where AmpliTech's 64T64R was the only radio unit participating in the configuration).
