China's Lipu, Guangxi Signs 800 Million Yuan 200MW/800MWh Energy Storage Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 8, the People's Government of Lipu City signed a cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Yichu Digital Energy Group Co., Ltd. for the Dumo 200MW/800MWh Independent Shared Energy Storage Station Project.

The project has a total investment of approximately 800 million yuan and is located within a 3-kilometer radius of the 220kV Hengxiang substation in Dumo Town, Lipu City, covering an area of about 60 mu. It will construct a 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage station. The project is planned to be substantially completed and put into operation by August 2027, with supporting facilities including one 220kV step-up substation, as well as on-site business rooms, power distribution, monitoring, fire protection, water supply and drainage, internal roads, and external line works.

Yichu Digital Energy is a high-tech energy enterprise with equity participation from Ganfeng Lithium (002460), established in May 2024 and headquartered in Shenzhen, focusing on the development and operation of grid-side independent shared energy storage stations.

This month, Yichu Digital Energy's project in Shanxi also made progress. On July 6, the Datong Xinrong Hebang 400MW/800MWh Independent Shared Energy Storage Station Project, invested and built by Yichu Digital Energy in Shanxi, successfully achieved a one-time grid connection, setting a new record for the largest single-time grid connection capacity of a grid-side independent energy storage station in Shanxi Province. The project has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, located north of Xiejiachang Village, Xicun Township, Xinrong District, Datong City, Shanxi Province, with a planned total installed capacity of 400MW/800MWh, covering an area of about 50 mu.
