en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Sverdlovsk Regional Dispatch Office (Свердловское РДУ) has increased the transmission capacity of the controlled section of the 220 kV Lilac Substation (Сирень) by 20 MW through the application of the domestic Stability Reserve Monitoring System (СМЗУ). According to the press service of the System Operator of the Unified Energy System (СО ЕЭС), this technology enables more precise management of power flows, allowing for more efficient utilization of the grid's potential without compromising reliability.

The Lilac Substation is a key hub in the eastern power supply zone of Sverdlovsk Oblast, supplying electricity to industrial, agricultural, and public facilities. The СМЗУ system allows the dispatch center to assess the actual connection and operational status and select the optimal control algorithm.

The СМЗУ system was jointly developed by the Joint-Stock Company "Scientific and Technical Center of the Unified Energy System" (АО «НТЦ ЕЭС») and the Joint-Stock Company "System Operator of the Unified Energy System" (АО «СО ЕЭС»). It has been gradually deployed in the Ural Unified Energy System since 2016. Currently, the system is applied across 102 controlled sections in multiple regions, from Bashkortostan to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (ЯНАО).

According to Oleg Yefimov (Олег Ефимов), Director of the Sverdlovsk Regional Dispatch Office, the СМЗУ has been operating on seven sections in the Middle Urals since 2023. The deployment of this technology has enhanced power system stability and expanded the range of permissible operating modes.
