en.Wedoany.com Reported - Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) has officially launched its new Research, Design, and Innovation Center in Bangalore, India, which will accelerate consumer-oriented product and packaging development for brands such as Kwality Wall's, Cornetto, Magnum, Carte D'Or, Feast, and Twister.
The new center houses laboratories and a digital pilot plant, integrating ice cream science, packaging expertise, and consumer technology insights, supported by the local food science, supplier, and startup ecosystem in Bangalore. The center has capabilities in product and process development, packaging, and regulatory evaluation, aiming to transform emerging consumer needs into products tailored to Indian tastes and consumption scenarios.
The center is equipped with facilities supporting ice cream production, product and packaging evaluation, and sensory testing. It is reportedly capable of achieving faster trials across categories such as cups, sticks, cones, kulfi, and premium ice cream cakes. Additionally, cold chain and climate testing, 3D packaging prototyping, and transport simulation help ensure that innovative designs meet real-world end-market conditions in India.
The Bangalore center will collaborate with TMICC's global design center in Colworth, UK, and its regional innovation center in Istanbul, Turkey, to develop new products based on local consumer insights and deep market understanding. Magnum stated that this combination is expected to strengthen the innovation pipeline, improve product quality, accelerate time-to-market, and introduce relevant global dairy platforms to the Indian market.

The two companies also introduced an FSC-certified birchwood spoon, designed by BioPak to fit Everest's Dixie-style containers.
