en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the world's first 8-inch two-dimensional semiconductor pilot line was officially launched in Chuansha New Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The production line was built by Yuanjiwei and has completed a full-line commissioning ceremony. This milestone marks the entry of China's two-dimensional semiconductor industrialization into the engineering phase, providing a manufacturing foundation for the deployment of next-generation advanced chip technologies.

This pilot line fills a global gap in the 8-inch two-dimensional semiconductor pilot-scale production sector. Currently, the production line has achieved coordinated operation of all equipment, with core machinery such as lithography machines and etching tools working in synergy. The technical team is conducting process debugging, parameter optimization, and stability testing to prepare for subsequent mass production.
Yuanjiwei stated that it will continue to deepen its focus on the two-dimensional semiconductor track, driving technology from laboratory research and development toward industrialization, standardization, and mass production, while bridging key links from cutting-edge technology to industrial applications. Following the completion of this process line, the company will gradually build a two-dimensional semiconductor foundry process system covering areas such as storage, analog, and logic, promoting the application of the technology in scenarios like edge intelligence, RF communication, and the Internet of Things.
Leveraging the synergistic advantages of policy support, capital market empowerment, and industrial resource aggregation, Shanghai is laying out the next-generation chip track, aiming to build a distinctive industrial cluster for atomic-level chip manufacturing and drive the differentiated and high-end development of China's semiconductor industry.
