en.Wedoany.com Reported - The copper alloy strip construction project of Guangdong Xingqi New Materials Co., Ltd. in China entered the pre-approval public notice stage for environmental impact assessment on July 8, 2026, with the public notice period from July 9 to July 15. The project is located in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, covering a total land area of 33,452.54 square meters, with a total building area of 24,518 square meters.

According to information published by the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, the project is primarily engaged in the production of copper and copper alloy strips. The main production processes include melting, horizontal continuous casting, rolling, surface cleaning, etc., and are equipped with a methanol-to-hydrogen process. After commissioning, the project is expected to produce 6,000 tons of tin bronze strips, 1,500 tons of high-performance copper strips, and 7,500 tons of new energy vehicle copper strips annually, with a total annual capacity of approximately 15,000 tons and an estimated annual output value of about 1.17 billion yuan.

Copper and copper alloy strips are widely used in fields such as electronics and electrical equipment, new energy vehicles, communication equipment, and aerospace. With the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, the demand for high-performance copper alloy strips continues to grow. This project focuses on high-end products such as copper strips for new energy vehicles, meeting the downstream industry's upgrading demand for lightweight, high-conductivity, and high-thermal-conductivity materials.

Guangdong Xingqi New Materials Co., Ltd. is one of the key enterprises in the copper processing field in South China. The construction of this project will further enhance Guangdong's production capacity in the high-end copper alloy strip sector and improve the regional non-ferrous metal processing industry chain layout. The advancement of the project's environmental impact assessment approval marks that the copper alloy strip production project has entered the final preparation stage before substantial construction.
