en.Wedoany.com Reported - South Korea's MegazoneCloud recently signed a business agreement with the Seoul AI Hub to jointly build a high-performance computing artificial intelligence infrastructure service system for AI companies in Seoul. The plan is to provide Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), multi-cloud computing environments, and supporting technical services to 100 companies within the year. Currently, approximately 70 initial companies have participated in the project briefing session, and recruitment for service recipients will continue.MegazoneCloud Chief Revenue Officer Hwang In-cheol (right) and Seoul AI Hub Center Director Byun Woo-seok pose for a photo after signing the 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Activating the AI Industry Ecosystem and Supporting AI Company Growth.' The key focus of this collaboration is to provide directly accessible GPU resources and development environments for AI companies lacking their own computing facilities. MegazoneCloud will act as a GPU infrastructure provider, configuring high-performance computing resources under a multi-cloud architecture and assisting in building corresponding AI development environments based on the model training, inference, and application development needs of different companies.

The two parties are jointly implementing the "Seoul AI Hub AI Company High-Performance Computing Infrastructure Service" project. The project covers development areas such as generative AI, large language models, and AI agents. Companies can utilize the GPU resources provided by the project for model training, testing, deployment, and service validation, reducing the upfront preparation required for independently purchasing servers, building data centers, and configuring computing clusters.

In addition to GPU computing access, the project will also provide technical consulting needed for AI service development, system deployment, and commercial application. It will address issues such as computing resource scheduling, cloud environment adaptation, and system operation during development through technical seminars and corporate exchange programs. The construction content is not merely about providing computing equipment individually but forming an AI infrastructure system composed of GPU resources, multi-cloud platforms, development environments, and technical services.

Located in Nuyam-dong, Seoul, the Seoul AI Hub is an AI industry service platform established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. It undertakes tasks such as nurturing AI companies, operating technical projects, and connecting industry-academia-research cooperation resources. With the introduction of MegazoneCloud's GPU and multi-cloud infrastructure, the Seoul AI Hub can further expand the scope of public computing services available to companies.

As the scale of development for large language models and generative AI applications expands, model training and testing place higher demands on GPU quantity, computing performance, and cloud resource scheduling. Some startups find it difficult to independently bear the costs of GPU equipment procurement, server maintenance, and computing environment construction. Public high-performance computing infrastructure is becoming an important component of the AI industry service system.

According to the project plan, the two parties will continue to expand the scope of GPU infrastructure services based on the initial group of approximately 70 companies, covering 100 AI companies within the year. Subsequent construction will focus on GPU resource access, enterprise development environment configuration, multi-cloud platform support, and AI service deployment, providing continuously available computing infrastructure for AI companies in the Seoul area.
