The project is part of a joint development between Taylor Wimpey and Story Homes, who previously jointly purchased the 60-acre site from developer Peel Land.

In November 2025, Peel Land obtained hybrid planning permission for the site, originally planning 400 homes and a primary school. The joint Taylor Wimpey and Story Homes scheme adjusts the total number of homes to 326, a reduction of 74 from the original plan, while retaining supporting facilities such as the primary school. The application has been published on Salford City Council's planning portal under reference number NOT/2026/0722.
