en.Wedoany.com Reported - The resource survey and evaluation project for the important gold polymetallic ore concentration area in the Jiaodong region, led by the Yantai Coastal Zone Geological Survey Center of the China Geological Survey, steadily advanced its annual field geological exploration work in 2026 and achieved several phased results. As of July 2026, the project team had completed 11,000 meters of core drilling, basically identifying the regional metallogenic geological conditions, mineral distribution patterns, and resource endowment characteristics of three map sheets. The project newly discovered two gold veins, one fluorite vein, and one silver-lead-zinc polymetallic vein, and added three gold mineralization points and two iron mineralization points.

The Yantai Coastal Zone Geological Survey Center of the China Geological Survey is a professional geological survey institution under the China Geological Survey, primarily responsible for basic geology, mineral geology, hydrogeology, and environmental geology surveys and research in coastal zones and adjacent areas. The implementation area of this survey and evaluation project is located in the Jiaodong region, one of China's most important gold production bases, renowned for the Jiaojia-type and Linglong-type gold deposits. Its gold reserves and output rank among the highest in the country, hosting large to super-large gold deposits such as Sanshandao, Jiaojia, Xincheng, and Linglong.

Drilling is the most direct and effective method for obtaining underground core samples, verifying geological inferences, and delineating ore bodies in mineral exploration. The 11,000 meters of core drilling completed this time provided key physical data for understanding deep geological structures and mineralization characteristics. Based on regional geological surveys, the newly discovered gold veins, fluorite veins, and silver-lead-zinc polymetallic veins further enriched the prospecting clues in the Jiaodong region. Among them, fluorite is an important strategic non-metallic mineral, widely used in fluorochemicals, metallurgy, building materials, and other fields; the silver-lead-zinc polymetallic mineralization indicates the polymetallic metallogenic potential of the region beyond gold. The newly added gold and iron mineralization points also provide important bases for subsequent target optimization and exploration engineering deployment.

The Jiaodong region is located on the southeastern margin of the North China Craton, with intense Mesozoic tectonic-magmatic activity providing favorable geological conditions for gold and polymetallic mineralization. The phased results achieved by this survey and evaluation project have effectively enriched regional prospecting clues and laid a solid foundation for the in-depth advancement of the new round of strategic prospecting breakthrough actions. With the continuous progress of field geological exploration work, the region is expected to yield more prospecting discoveries, further enhancing the resource security capability of Jiaodong as a national-level gold and polymetallic resource base.
