This compact Russian equipment (with a circuit board weighing only 100 grams) replaces large gas flow and pressure control devices. The digital system can monitor and analyze the operating parameters of gas lift wells around the clock, sending information to the production control center and providing optimal equipment load modes.

Bogdan Kostyuk, head of the Technology Development Department at Gazprom Neft, stated that intelligent control systems are one of the development directions for oil extraction technology. Modern solutions allow us to transition to a more flexible and unified equipment architecture, laying the foundation for further digitalization of production process management. The modernization of the gas lift control system is a vivid example of our work in this area.

The eastern block of the Orenburg oil field is one of the largest oil and gas assets in the region, with reserves including over 100 million tons of oil and approximately 66 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Gas lift wells use the energy of associated gas from the formation to lift oil to the surface, and the application of the digital control system has further enhanced the extraction efficiency of this technology. In the future, the system is planned to be deployed at other oil fields in Russia with high associated gas content.
