The contract was signed recently during the Saudi-Canada Investment Forum held in Jeddah. The forum took place during Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit to Saudi Arabia, attended by senior officials, investors, financial institutions, and private sector leaders from both countries, marking a new phase in investment partnerships, capacity building, and economic cooperation.

The forum focused on strategic sectors including mining and critical minerals, financial services, advanced industries, artificial intelligence and data centers, and skills development, aiming to expand prospects for quality investments and deepen cooperation.

According to RCRC, these projects are part of its broader strategy to develop an integrated and sustainable transportation system, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position Riyadh as one of the world's leading metropolises.

In a statement, RCRC said these contracts solidify the long-term partnership between RCRC and AtkinsRéalis in delivering major transportation infrastructure that supports Saudi Arabia's urban mobility goals and the continued growth of the capital.

Under the agreement, AtkinsRéalis will provide engineering consulting, construction supervision, project management, and technical oversight services for the Riyadh Metro network, ensuring efficient execution while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards.

The statement added that the company will also oversee strategic road development projects aimed at improving Riyadh's transportation network, enhancing traffic flow, increasing road safety, and supporting the city's long-term expansion.
