en.Wedoany.com Reported - DuPont has launched an end-to-end direct lithium extraction (DLE) portfolio containing over 20 products, covering extraction, purification, and final concentration technologies, designed to support scalable lithium production from brine as an alternative to hard rock mining and evaporation processes.

The portfolio combines lithium-selective adsorbents, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, and ion exchange resins. Specific technologies include DuPont AmberSorb adsorbents suitable for high- and low-temperature brines, FilmTec LiNE nanofiltration and reverse osmosis elements with low salt rejection reverse osmosis (LSRRO) capability, DuPont IntegraTec and Inge ultrafiltration modules, and DuPont AmberLite ion exchange resins.

DuPont positions this portfolio as an integrated process framework that can support complete end-to-end implementation or modular component selection based on specific brine composition, temperature, and competing ions, aiming to improve lithium yield, purity, and concentration. Dr. Martin Deetz of DuPont stated that integrating lithium-selective adsorbents, membranes, and ion exchange technologies into a single process design framework allows optimization of the entire process rather than addressing each step in isolation.

DuPont provides advanced laboratory testing, process modeling, and pilot support through its global R&D network to validate performance on actual brine samples and accelerate scale-up. The company will host an educational webinar on June 18, 2026, to explain how customized direct lithium extraction technologies and support services can improve lithium yield and purity for specific brine resources.
