en.Wedoany.com Reported - Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN) has received the final assay results from the 2026 winter drilling program at the Lion Zone in Canada, which will serve as the basis for resource estimation.
The Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Lion Zone and the Nisk deposit is scheduled for completion by the end of July 2026. This resource estimate will form the basis for a Preliminary Economic Assessment, which will commence immediately after the MRE is completed.
Infill drilling in the shallow central area of the deposit continues to show promising near-surface grades. Drill hole PML-26-116 intersected near-surface copper mineralization 75 meters below surface, returning 36.42 meters at a copper equivalent grade of 2.83%, including 6 meters of semi-massive mineralization at a copper equivalent grade of 12.38%.
Previously, Power Metallic received assay results in late June showing 3.30 meters at a copper equivalent grade of 3.98% at 25 meters below surface, and 5.26 meters at a copper equivalent grade of 8.45% at approximately 140 meters below surface.
The Lion Zone is part of the larger Nisk project, a copper-platinum group element, nickel, gold, and silver mineralized system. The company is expanding the mineralization footprint at Nisk and the Lion Zone through its drilling program, evaluating the Tiger target, and exploring the expanded claim area.
Power Metallic Mines is a Canadian exploration company focused on advancing the Nisk project toward becoming Canada's next polymetallic mine.
