en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aramex Saudi Arabia and ASX eMobility have deepened their collaboration in the Kingdom, with the latest deployment of multiple charging units and a Sungrow DC fast charger, which ASX claims is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia. This deployment aims to support Aramex's electric vehicle fleet operations.

Notably, Aramex was recently named the most sustainable company in the logistics and supply chain sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

This project reflects broader changes in Saudi Arabia's electric mobility market. Fleet operators require not only vehicles and individual charging stations but also supporting infrastructure, network connectivity, technology partnerships, and implementation plans tailored to operational rhythms.

ASX eMobility is also the owner and operator of the E-FILL charging network, which serves both public charging and dedicated fleet solutions. By integrating E-FILL network access, private charging infrastructure development, and coordination with vehicle manufacturers, ASX is striving to build an integrated pathway to electrification for fleet operators.

Mohammed Almusawa, CEO of ASX eMobility | E-FILL, stated that the company has positioned fleet electrification as a core part of the broader ecosystem transformation and a key driver of Saudi Arabia's electric mobility sector. He revealed that the team has recently connected multiple fleet operators to the E-FILL network, developed private charging infrastructure, and worked closely with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). These elements are integrated into a complete ecosystem solution designed to help fleet operators achieve a smooth, practical, and gradual transition.

The partnership with Aramex demonstrates that this model can help logistics companies move from early-stage electric vehicle trials to organized daily commercial operations. In Saudi Arabia's mobility transformation, commercial fleets, with their fixed routes and schedules, can phase in electric vehicles, deploy charging infrastructure at strategic locations, and scale up based on operational results.

Aramex publicly committed on January 15, 2020, to piloting fully electric vehicles for last-mile delivery in Saudi Arabia. The company stated at the time that this move aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and was part of a long-term strategy to electrify its fleet where operational conditions permit. Raji Hattar, then Chief Sustainability Officer at Aramex, emphasized that environmental protection is the company's top priority and a core component of its sustainability strategy.
