en.Wedoany.com Reported - Flux Power & Automation has launched a smart energy management system called Smappee Infinity in the Ghanaian market, enabling businesses to monitor electricity consumption in real time, remotely control electrical equipment, and automate energy usage to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
The system was introduced to the Ghanaian market through a distribution partnership with European clean technology company Smappee. Ghanaian businesses are currently seeking smarter ways to address rising electricity costs.
Unlike traditional utility billing, which only provides total consumption data, Smappee Infinity can display detailed electricity consumption for individual appliances, circuits, and devices. Users can identify inefficiencies, track historical consumption patterns, and optimize energy usage through a digital dashboard and mobile application.
Kwasi Tetteh Akrobettoe (Tito), CEO of Flux Power & Automation, noted that many organizations currently lack the information needed to manage energy effectively. After conducting research on the energy management challenges faced by Ghanaian businesses, he decided to introduce this technology to the market. The platform integrates three core functions—monitoring, control, and automation—within a single system. Users can continuously monitor electricity consumption, remotely control connected devices, and automatically adjust energy usage based on operational needs.
The system is compatible with both traditional and smart electrical equipment, allowing businesses to improve efficiency without replacing existing assets. In addition to reducing electricity costs, the platform helps organizations enhance operational efficiency and support sustainability goals by minimizing unnecessary energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Prior to its commercial launch, Smappee Infinity was piloted at the Lakeside Estate sales office in Accra, demonstrating its capabilities under local operating conditions. Engineers from the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) tested the system during installation and subsequently granted approval. Akrobettoe stated that the pilot project received positive feedback, and discussions are underway for further deployment in future Lakeside Estate development projects.
Smappee Infinity complies with internationally recognized ISO standards, including ISO 27001 for information security management and the forthcoming ISO 9001 for quality management.
Flux Power & Automation targets commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations where electricity costs account for a significant share of operating expenses, such as shopping malls, banks, hotels, hospitals, manufacturers, mining companies, real estate developers, educational institutions, and media organizations. Residential installation services are also available upon request.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Harelbeke, Belgium, Smappee provides smart energy management solutions for homes and businesses to over 100,000 users in more than 90 countries worldwide.
