en.Wedoany.com Reported - AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. and Siemens Mobility have signed a joint development contract to provide system integration services for TramCité, a major public transit project in Quebec City.

Under the framework of the general partnership Connexion Capitale, the two parties will integrate their technical expertise in railway system integration, signaling, communications, electrification, and major project delivery.

The project scope covers the integration and implementation of railway systems and technologies, supervision of network testing and commissioning, as well as long-term maintenance work.

The contract is delivered using a progressive design-build model. AtkinsRéalis stated that this approach is based on its experience in delivering complex rail and transit projects under collaborative delivery models, where early coordination and integration are critical to long-term performance.

The TramCité project is a 19-kilometer urban tram network in Quebec City. It is jointly led by the Government of Quebec, the City of Quebec, and CDPQ Infra, with financial support from the Government of Canada.
