en.Wedoany.com Reported - Xiaomi has launched the Mi Smart Bathroom Heater P1 Human Presence Detection Edition in the Chinese market, a ceiling-mounted device that integrates bathroom lighting, heating, and ventilation functions. The product features a built-in 24GHz radar system capable of detecting human presence in the bathroom and automatically adjusting hardware operation. The device will enter crowdfunding in China next week, with a crowdfunding price of approximately $148. Xiaomi has not yet announced any global release plans.
Most smart bathroom heaters rely on infrared motion sensors, which may fail when a person remains still for extended periods. Xiaomi has switched to a 24GHz radar sensor to detect continuous human presence. The system can automatically turn on the lighting when a user enters, keep the ventilation fan running during use, and shut down all functions after the person leaves. The detection range and sensitivity are adjustable, helping to prevent false triggers caused by someone passing by an open bathroom door.

The Mi Smart Bathroom Heater P1 Human Presence Detection Edition uses a 3000W graphene heating element. The device features a variable frequency control system that adjusts power output based on the set temperature, rather than running at full power continuously. Xiaomi's previously launched Mi Smart Bathroom Heater P1 also adopted a 3000W graphene heating configuration, focusing on rapid bathroom heating. To distribute warm air, the device includes a swingable air deflector with a swing angle of 60 to 90 degrees, directing heat toward the floor.
The device employs dual DC motors, allowing it to heat the bathroom while running the ventilation fan. The ventilation system has a rated airflow of approximately 259 cubic meters per hour, helping to remove moisture and odors while the heater is operating. The bathroom heater also includes a retractable ceiling lighting panel, flush with the ceiling, capable of outputting up to 1500 lumens. It supports adjustable color temperatures from 3000K to 6200K and features a night light mode suitable for late-night use.
The bathroom heater can connect to the Mi Home App and the Xiaomi HyperOS ecosystem. Users can set timers, control the device via the app, and use voice control. Xiaomi also includes an IPX4-rated waterproof wireless wall switch, compatible with standard 86mm back boxes, allowing users to add a physical control point without rewiring the wall.
