en.Wedoany.com Reported - Three Chinese airlines have decided to purchase 95 Airbus aircraft, with a total list price of approximately $17.8 billion. However, airlines typically receive substantial commercial discounts, with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2032.

Air China has confirmed an order for 15 A350-900 wide-body aircraft for long-haul international routes. Its subsidiary, Shenzhen Airlines, has ordered 40 A320neo series narrow-body aircraft for domestic and regional growth. Hainan Airlines has also ordered 40 A320neo series narrow-body aircraft to advance its fleet expansion strategy.

The A350-900, featuring composite materials, advanced aerodynamics, and next-generation engines, offers long range and low fuel consumption, making it suitable for connecting China with long-haul markets such as Europe and North America. The A320neo series reduces fuel consumption and emissions through next-generation engines and aerodynamic improvements, directly competing with the Boeing 737 MAX.

Chinese airlines have long operated Airbus aircraft, and fleet commonality brings benefits such as pilot training efficiency, simplified maintenance processes, optimized spare parts, and operational flexibility. Airbus has a final assembly facility in Tianjin and has established long-term partnerships with Chinese suppliers, with these industrial deployments supporting its competitiveness.

Airlines such as Hainan Airlines, which previously operated both Airbus and Boeing aircraft, have achieved fleet diversification through this order, leveraging Airbus's mature infrastructure in China to optimize operational economics.
