en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hyundai Motor has customized a Palisade XRT Pro track support vehicle for its IMSA race team, specifically designed to transport spare tires, tools, and fluids for the Elantra N TCR during race weekends.
This modified SUV features a dark gray body paint with N Performance's signature red-orange racing stripes and light blue checkered flag patterns. Sponsor logos are affixed to the doors and rear side panels, with "N Track Support Vehicle" printed on the sides. The vehicle is equipped with an XRT Pro body kit, recovery hooks, a Thule roof rack, auxiliary LED light bars, and rock sliders. It rides on BF Goodrich T/A heavy-duty tires wrapped around black five-spoke alloy wheels. A hitch-mounted carrier at the rear accommodates a set of spare wheels, enabling tire changes at any location. The cargo area also includes sticky Michelin Pilot Sport tires, WeatherTech floor mats, Motul racing fluids, high-strength recovery straps, heavy-duty storage bins, and a custom Bell helmet for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge driver Mark Wilkins.
In motorsport support and safety vehicles, SUVs are gradually replacing traditional station wagons and commercial vehicles. Hyundai has chosen not to follow the performance badge route but instead adopts the more off-road-oriented Palisade XRT Pro as the official companion for the Elantra N TCR. The vehicle's development incorporated input from Hyundai's N division. Although the new-generation Palisade is heavier and slower to accelerate than its predecessor, it still meets track requirements as a logistics vehicle.
This N track support vehicle was built specifically to support the factory team Bryan Herta Autosport in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. It is not available through dealerships or accessory catalogs and is not for sale to the public.
