en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Hikvision announced that its DeepinView (iDS-2CD7x) series network cameras have obtained EUCC certification (European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme based on Common Criteria), making them the world's first video surveillance camera products to receive this certification.

Hikvision network camera receives industry's first EUCC certification

The certification was issued by the independent certification body TrustCB B.V., whose qualifications are recognized by the Netherlands Digital Infrastructure Authority (RDI). The comprehensive security assessment was conducted by Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe, following ISO/IEC 15408 (Common Criteria) and CEM:2022 R1 standards. The certified iDS-2CD7x series achieves the EUCC "substantial" assurance level, equivalent to Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL3), and includes ALC_FLR.2 (flaw remediation) requirements.

EUCC is the latest product cybersecurity framework adopted in Europe, based on international Common Criteria (CC). It systematically verifies product security capabilities, development processes, and vulnerability management through rigorous and independent testing and auditing. With the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) imposing lifecycle security requirements on "products with digital elements" and the NIS2 Directive enforcing stricter cybersecurity obligations on critical industries, EUCC serves as a trusted benchmark, providing unified compliance proof for industries with high security requirements such as public administration, critical infrastructure, energy, and transportation.

Hikvision integrates security principles into all stages of the product lifecycle, including concept design, R&D, testing, delivery, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring that device security is proactively managed from the start. This certification validates the robustness of security controls in the iDS-2CD7x series across key areas such as identity authentication, access control, secure communication, security auditing, and vulnerability management, setting a new cybersecurity compliance reference point for the industry.
