The solar project is expected to be eligible for incentives under the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) NY-Sun program. The interconnection application is underway, and upon approval, the project will proceed to the permitting process and secure construction financing. The community solar project will deliver clean electricity to the local grid, expected to power approximately 400 homes, with subscribers receiving credits on their electricity bills.

The solar project has a total investment of approximately $8 million, with an estimated federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) value of about $3.2 million. Under the provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025, the project is still expected to qualify for the ITC, as construction began before the July 4, 2026 deadline. The subscription model of the community solar project allows users to receive credits on their electricity bills without installing solar panels on their own rooftops, a model that has been promoted in multiple U.S. states.
