en.Wedoany.com Reported - Air France-KLM Group has signed a five-year agreement with GE Aerospace to adopt the latter's fuel optimization solution, Fuel Insight, to enhance fuel planning and operational efficiency.

The agreement was announced on Monday at the Farnborough Airshow. Prior to this, four of the group's Dutch airlines—KLM, KLC, Martinair, and Transavia Holland—had already been using Fuel Insight. The new agreement extends the application to all group carriers, including Air France, Hop!, and Transavia France.
Fuel Insight helps optimize fuel planning and efficiency by providing fuel consumption metrics, calculating aircraft performance factors, and integrating them with flight planning systems. GE Aerospace estimates that the tool has helped customers save approximately 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions cumulatively.
Andrew Coleman, President and General Manager of Software as a Service at GE Aerospace, stated that Fuel Insight helps airlines reduce time spent chasing data, allowing them to focus more on identifying fuel-saving opportunities, tracking long-term results, and ensuring that fuel-saving measures translate into repeatable outcomes.
