en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 19, Polish satellite manufacturer Creotech Instruments announced plans to build a new factory, intending to launch a satellite manufacturing base in the Masovian Voivodeship in 2029, raising its current capacity of approximately 10 satellites per year to 40 satellites of different models, or up to 100 satellites of the same model. CEO Grzegorz Brona disclosed this capacity expansion arrangement in an interview with Reuters, and made clear that the new factory will undertake the manufacturing of multiple satellite models as well as the batch production of standardized satellites.

The company's existing manufacturing facility is located in Piaseczno near Warsaw and has the capacity to manufacture approximately 10 satellites per year. The planned new factory will expand the scale of complete satellite production, with 40 satellites corresponding to mixed production of different models and 100 satellites corresponding to concentrated production of a single model. Creotech also plans to expand its existing satellite product lineup, developing from microsatellites under 100 kg to satellites in the 100–500 kg class, and has included the capability to manufacture 500 kg-class satellites by 2032 in its product development goals.

Creotech published its development strategy through 2029 in May 2026, planning to expand satellite manufacturing infrastructure, develop a new-generation satellite platform, and advance related technology investments. The company subsequently completed a share financing, raising a total of approximately 481 million zlotys, with the proceeds earmarked for manufacturing capacity expansion, new satellite platform development, technology investments, and potential acquisitions and strategic cooperation.

The new factory's capacity planning advances in parallel with the company's satellite platform development. The existing HyperSat platform is mainly used for microsatellites under 100 kg; the company will subsequently develop the SWAN platform for satellites exceeding 200 kg, as well as the EMU platform covering satellites up to 500 kg, providing complete satellite manufacturing and system integration services for European Earth observation, communication constellations, and space science research projects.

Creotech is currently undertaking Poland's MikroGlob military Earth observation satellite project, with all four satellites already launched into orbit by rockets from the U.S. company SpaceX. The company also plans to participate in tenders for subsequent large European Union satellite constellation projects and to establish subsidiaries in France and Germany within the coming weeks, expanding its business scope in the European satellite engineering market.
