en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 12, Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based RTX, announced the expansion of its existing service contract with Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air, adding 44 Airbus A320neo family passenger aircraft equipped with GTF engines to the scope of FlightSense technical and maintenance support services. This contract expansion covers aircraft operational data analysis, maintenance planning support, and component support. The additional contract value and service term have not been disclosed.

The 44 passenger aircraft included in the expanded service scope comprise 24 Airbus A321neo and 20 Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Vietjet Air had previously signed relevant engine procurement and maintenance agreements with Pratt & Whitney in February 2026, selecting GTF engines and entering into a 12-year EngineWise Comprehensive engine maintenance contract.

The FlightSense service utilizes the Ascentia aircraft health management analytics platform to process aircraft operational and equipment status data, employing physical models, statistical analysis, and machine learning technologies to identify anomalies, predict potential failures, and support airlines in developing maintenance plans. Collins Aerospace will provide corresponding technical support for the newly added fleet under the expanded agreement.

Vietjet Air had previously collaborated with Collins Aerospace on engine nacelle maintenance. This contract expansion will further broaden the scope of cooperation between the two parties in the fields of aircraft operation and maintenance and component support.
