China's Long March 12 rocket successfully launches the Satellite Internet Low-Earth-Orbit Group 27 satellites
en.Wedoany.com Reported - At 3:27 on October 10, China used a Long March 12 carrier rocket at the Hainan Commercial Spacecraft Launch Site to successfully send the Satellite Internet Low-Earth-Orbit Group 27 satellites into space. The satellites smoothly entered their predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a success. This launch was another constellation deployment mission for China's satellite internet low-Earth-orbit constellation.

The Long March 12 carrier rocket was developed under the overall leadership of the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It adopts a two-stage configuration and cryogenic liquid propellant, with a rocket body diameter of 4 meters class and a total length of about 62 meters. This model has a low-Earth-orbit carrying capacity of no less than 12 tonnes and a 700-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit carrying capacity of no less than 6 tonnes. It can be equipped with a 4.2-meter or 5.2-meter-diameter satellite fairing according to mission requirements, and can carry out different forms of launch missions such as single-satellite and multi-satellite launches.
This rocket model adopts a testing and launch mode of horizontal assembly, horizontal testing, and horizontal transfer. On June 17, 2026, when the Long March 12 carried out the Satellite Internet Low-Earth-Orbit Group 22 launch mission, it used a new batch of rockets with optimized technical status, including a second-stage engine using high-energy kerosene propellant, a 5.2-meter-diameter carbon fiber composite fairing, and adjustments to the manufacturing process of some structural cabin sections and the launch site operation procedures.
In previous constellation deployment missions, the Satellite Internet Low-Earth-Orbit Group 24 satellites were sent into the predetermined orbit by the Long March 12 on August 16, the Low-Earth-Orbit Group 25 satellites were launched using the same type of rocket on September 17, and the Low-Earth-Orbit Group 26 satellites successfully entered orbit aboard a Long March 8A carrier rocket on September 23.
