en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing released its commercial aircraft order and delivery data for September 2026, delivering a total of 57 aircraft during the month, up from 51 in August and 55 in the same period last year; it received 165 new orders during the same period, including an order from Turkish Airlines for 100 737 MAX aircraft. As of the end of September, Boeing had delivered a cumulative total of 475 aircraft for the year, a year-on-year increase of approximately 8%.

The aircraft delivered in September included 43 737 MAXs, 8 787s, 2 777 freighters and 4 767s. Among them, 3 767s were delivered to Boeing's defense division and will subsequently undergo KC-46 aerial refueling tanker conversion. The 737 MAX accounted for approximately 75.4% of total deliveries for the month. On a quarterly basis, Boeing delivered a total of 161 commercial aircraft in the third quarter, including 124 737s, 10 767s, 5 777s and 22 787s. In the first three quarters, cumulative deliveries of the 737 series reached 367 aircraft, of which 363 were 737 MAXs, setting a record for the highest number of deliveries of this model in the first nine months of any year.

On the orders front, in addition to Turkish Airlines' large purchase, Lufthansa ordered 20 737 MAXs, Biman Bangladesh Airlines ordered 6 737 MAXs and 5 787s, and Ethiopian Airlines ordered 8 777-8 freighters and 2 777 freighters. There were also orders for 6 737 MAXs and 18 787s from undisclosed customers. Boeing recorded no order cancellations during the month, and net orders after deducting cancellations for the first three quarters totaled 618 aircraft.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg previously said at an investor conference in September that the company is advancing toward its goal of stabilizing 737 MAX monthly production at 47 aircraft, but the related production increase process is taking longer than expected. At the end of September, Boeing's officially reported backlog increased to 6,371 aircraft, up 215 from 6,156 at the end of August.

As a comparison for deliveries during the same period, Airbus disclosed on October 8 that it delivered 72 commercial aircraft in September, with 17 gross new orders during the month and cumulative deliveries of 547 aircraft in the first three quarters. Boeing's monthly deliveries were 15 fewer than Airbus's, while its gross new orders were 148 more.
