en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 26, the Lijian-2 Y2 carrier rocket, independently developed by CAS Space, completed final assembly and testing at the launch site in the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone and was successfully transported to its dedicated launch pad, entering the critical pre-launch preparation phase. The rocket has a maximum payload capacity of 12 tonnes and is planned to carry out its first low-Earth-orbit satellite constellation large-scale networking launch mission using a multi-satellite deployment approach. It will subsequently complete relevant inspections and rehearsals according to the launch procedure and lift off at an appropriate time.

The Lijian-2 is China's first carrier rocket to adopt a "common booster core" configuration, consisting of three essentially identical common booster core stages. This configuration achieves standardized manufacturing and combination of different components through the commonality of core-stage structures, balancing payload capacity and mass-production requirements. In addition to carrying out simultaneous launch missions for multiple satellites, the rocket can also be used to launch spacecraft such as space cargo freighters.

Li Qinfeng, deputy chief designer of the CAS Space Lijian-2 carrier rocket, said that the final assembly and testing work of the Y2 rocket at the launch site has been fully completed. After being transported to the launch pad, the launch team will sequentially carry out rocket-ground interface checks, full-process rehearsals, and propellant loading, and then execute the low-Earth-orbit constellation networking launch mission as planned.
