Qingdao Airlines of China Opens Qingdao–Vientiane International Route with En-Route Stop

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 27, Qingdao Airlines of China officially opened the Qingdao–Xishuangbanna–Vientiane international passenger route. The inaugural flight QW9915 departed from Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, stopped at Xishuangbanna Gasa International Airport, and then flew to Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, Laos. The new route operates every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday using the same-flight en-route stop model, adding a scheduled international passenger route connecting Shandong region with Laos.

The outbound flight number is QW9915, scheduled to depart Qingdao at 8:40 Beijing time, stop at Xishuangbanna, and arrive in Vientiane at 14:40 local time. The return flight number is QW9916, scheduled to depart Vientiane at 15:40 local time, stop at Xishuangbanna, and arrive in Qingdao at 23:25 Beijing time.

Cross-border passengers can enjoy through-checked baggage service. The flight stops at Xishuangbanna for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Passengers traveling to Vientiane do not need to collect checked baggage at the stopover airport or re-check in; checked baggage can be delivered directly to the final destination. The route implements an en-route transport arrangement with one boarding pass and the same flight number.

On the inaugural day, Qingdao Airlines carried approximately 360 passengers in total on the round-trip flights of this route, with a load factor of about 90% on the outbound flight from Qingdao. This route is also Qingdao Airlines' second Southeast Asian international route opened in 2026, following the Qingdao–Penang route.
