en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 27, Air France announced the expansion of its Brazil routes for the 2026-2027 Southern Hemisphere summer season (November 2026 to April 2027). The Rio de Janeiro–Paris Charles de Gaulle route will increase from one daily flight to two daily flights starting December 21, 2026; Salvador will add two weekly flights starting January 18, 2027, reaching up to five weekly flights; and Fortaleza will offer daily flights during peak demand periods, up from five weekly flights in 2025. Overall seat capacity to South America will increase by 3% year on year.

The additional second daily Rio flight will be operated by an Airbus A350-900. Air France's A350-900 configuration seats 324 passengers, including 34 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy and 266 in Economy Class. The two departures from Paris are scheduled at 10:10 (AF512) and 13:25 (AF442), arriving in Rio at 16:40 and 19:45 respectively; on the return, AF511 departs Rio at 18:55 and arrives in Paris at 10:55 the next day, while AF443 departs at 22:00 and arrives at 14:15 the next day, all local time.

The daily Fortaleza flight will operate only during peak demand periods within the season, with the baseline frequency of five weekly flights maintained at other times. Following the increase, the Salvador route will rise from three weekly flights to up to five weekly flights. The timing windows for these two adjustments differ from the start date of the two daily Rio flights: Rio's twice-daily service begins on December 21, while Salvador's additional frequencies begin on January 18.

In other South American markets, the Santiago–Paris route will also increase to up to ten weekly flights. During the season, Air France will operate up to 725 daily flights, covering nearly 170 destinations in 78 countries. The two daily Rio flights will continue until the end of the season in April 2027.
