Dubai Launches Tender for 200 km Sewage and Stormwater Network Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 23, the Dubai Municipality of the UAE launched a construction tender for the sewage and stormwater network project in New Al Awir First District, with project number DS317-C1. The scope of construction includes approximately 95 km of sewage gravity network and 105 km of stormwater drainage pipelines, totaling about 200 km of main networks of the two types. The tender is open to engineering contractors, with a bid submission deadline of November 12. The estimated project budget is up to approximately AED 1 billion.

The project is located in New Al Awir First District, Dubai. In addition to the 95 km gravity network, the sewage system will also lay approximately 69.2 km of household connection pipelines to serve local residential and public facilities. The sewage network is planned to include approximately 1,511 inspection manholes. The length of household connection pipelines is not counted in the 200 km main network scale.

The stormwater drainage component adopts a gravity drainage system, with approximately 1,247 inspection manholes and a stormwater retention pond with a comprehensive storage volume of approximately 1.2 million cubic meters. The project scope also includes oil-water separation facilities to support the stormwater collection and discharge system.

Construction content covers underground pipeline laying, geological survey, protection of existing public utilities, and construction traffic organization. Some pipeline sections will adopt trenchless construction technology. Contractors are required to organize underground pipeline construction and related supporting works in accordance with the tender documents.

The tender adopts an online bidding method, with procurement number rfq_248323 and a bid bond of AED 8 million. The bid documents are divided into three parts: qualification, technical, and commercial, requiring contractors to submit corresponding qualification, technical, and commercial materials.
