en.Wedoany.com Reported - Manitowoc Group of the United States has released the MDT 99e flat-top tower crane under its French Potain brand, with a maximum lifting capacity of 5 tons, a jib length selectable from 25 to 55 meters, and a tip load of 1.2 tons at the maximum 55-meter radius. The model is the first to feature the new-generation CCS Evolution control system, and is also equipped with a variable-frequency hoisting mechanism and multiple lifting assistance functions, primarily targeting urban residential and space-constrained construction projects.

The MDT 99e is equipped with a 25 LVF 13 Optima variable-frequency hoisting mechanism, adopts a permanent four-fall rope reeving configuration, and is compatible with Potain's existing 1.2-meter K-type and L-type mast sections. Its control system features a touchscreen operation interface, supports operator-customized control settings, and provides equipment commissioning and maintenance functions. The equipment is also equipped with Potain Plus lifting performance optimization software, the Top Site anti-collision system, and the Power Control power management function, with an optional Ultra View cab.

The new model features structural optimization of the jib, counter-jib, and transport components, allowing installers to access the relevant parts of the jib and counter-jib from the base of the crane. Potain offers two configuration options, respectively suited to space-constrained urban construction sites and projects requiring frequent helicopter-assisted installation. The equipment is compatible with the Potain CONNECT remote connectivity platform and complies with the European EN 14439:2025 tower crane design standard.
