124 LiuGong Excavators Ship from Qinzhou Port to Indonesia, Setting Single-Vessel Record

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 16, 124 excavators and supporting accessories produced by China's Guangxi LiuGong completed loading at Berth North No. 1 of the Dalanping Operation Area of Qinzhou Port in Beibu Gulf Port, and departed aboard the vessel "Jupiter" on a direct voyage to Jakarta, Indonesia. This shipment set a new record for the number of engineering machinery units exported on a single vessel from Beibu Gulf Port. The exported cargo included multiple models of diesel-driven excavators, all handled using non-standard oversized cargo loading methods.

Given the large size and high unit weight of this equipment, a dedicated stowage plan had to be prepared before loading based on the vessel's hold capacity, deadweight capacity, and stability conditions. Qinzhou Terminal Company coordinated with freight forwarders, the vessel operator, and logistics providers to verify the parameters of each equipment model in advance, adjust spreader configurations and lashing and securing plans, and organize the machinery team and maintenance crew to complete loading preparations. During operations, the terminal transferred the equipment in batches to the berth front, applied protective measures to excavator tracks, body paint surfaces, and other areas, controlled lifting speed and equipment orientation during hoisting, and completed hold placement and lashing reinforcement.

The Qinzhou maritime authorities concurrently carried out maritime safety inspections for oversized equipment, focusing on verifying cargo restraint chocks, lashing wire ropes, shackle strength, and firefighting equipment configuration, and coordinated vessel loading and unloading and berthing and unberthing operations through on-site inspections and remote supervision. Port authorities adopted a joint inspection approach to link cargo customs clearance with the loading process.

This shipment exceeded the previous single-vessel export record of 122 engineering machinery units set by Beibu Gulf Port in May this year. For this batch delivery, LiuGong was responsible for production, equipment quality inspection, and logistics coordination, while Qinzhou Port handled port loading and unloading and shipment organization.
