en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 18, UK crane rental company Delden took delivery of an LR 1400 SX crawler crane from Liebherr Germany. With a maximum lifting capacity of 400 tonnes, it is now the most powerful model in the company's fleet. The machine features modular transport and hydraulic self-assembly, and can be configured with either a fixed or luffing jib, with a maximum boom system length of 178 m. It is primarily used for lifting large equipment and heavy components.

The LR 1400 SX's crawler undercarriage can be adjusted between a transport width of 4.8 m and a maximum working width of 8.4 m. Each crawler track is equipped with two drive motors, giving a total of four-motor travel drive. On site, the connection pins can be installed and locked hydraulically to complete the assembly of the crawler tracks and the crane's main components.

The model supports fixed or luffing jib configurations with a maximum length of 113 m. The crane control system features barge tilt compensation, which adjusts the corresponding load chart according to the tilt of the working platform, making it suitable for offshore lifting tasks where the relevant operating conditions are met.

Some of the luffing jib components of the newly delivered machine are interchangeable with Delden's existing 300-tonne LR 1300.1 crawler crane, allowing the two machines to share the corresponding boom components. Delden previously purchased one 300-tonne LR 1300.1 SX and three 160-tonne LR 1160.1 crawler cranes in 2025, and added a fifth 150-tonne LTR 1150 telescopic-boom crawler crane in 2026.

Delden is headquartered in Nottinghamshire, UK. Its current rental fleet covers lattice-boom and telescopic-boom crawler cranes from 60 to 400 tonnes, and the company also provides equipment engineering and technical services, maintenance and repair.
