en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK rental company AW Plant Services has taken delivery of its new flagship machine — the UK's first 150-tonne SAC1500E all-terrain crane. The crane was previously exhibited at Vertikal Days and has now been delivered and put into service.

The brand-new SAC1500E

The five-axle SAC1500E was ordered through UK dealer Crowland Cranes and features a 66-metre seven-section main boom, topped with a 10.8 to 19-metre double-folding jib with offset angles of up to 40 degrees. A 7-metre boom extension can be fitted between the main boom head and the jib, giving a maximum tip height of 92 metres. Power comes from a Mercedes engine.

The machine has a total counterweight of 45 tonnes, of which 26.5 tonnes can travel on the road within a 16.5-tonne axle load. The crane is equipped with a full-function remote control system, 360-degree and boom-head mounted camera systems, SANY's variable outrigger positioning system, the Power-Pad Storage system and the new ADAS 360 radar system.

Stuart Ward, Managing Director of AW Plant Services, said the new SA1500e is a welcome addition to the company's fleet and the first SANY crane in its rental fleet deployed in East Anglia. Prior to confirming the order, the company carried out a successful trial of the machine; operators and customers responded well to the crane, making its addition to the fleet an obvious choice.

Founded in 1982, AW Plant Services is a family-run business based at the Eurocentre in Great Yarmouth, south-east England. The company serves East Anglia with a crane fleet ranging from 40-tonne two-axle Tadano models up to the new 150-tonne SANY crane, with most of its business coming from the offshore sector.
