German Henneberger Receives 100-Tonne Liebherr All-Terrain Crane

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 17, German crane and logistics company Henneberger Schwerlast took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 all-terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tonnes. The unit becomes the first crane in Henneberger's fleet equipped with the LICCON3 control system, and will subsequently be used for industrial plant and roof construction, power and communication tower installation, machinery and equipment relocation, and precast component lifting.

The LTM 1100-5.3 features a five-axle chassis and a seven-section 62-meter telescopic main boom, and can be configured with a 9.5–16 meter double-folding jib with a maximum offset angle of 40°, enabling a maximum lifting height of 68 meters for the complete machine. The machine is 2.55 meters wide and can carry up to 16.9 tonnes of counterweight on board at a 12-tonne axle load, reducing the need to arrange separate counterweight transport vehicles for some lifting tasks.

By adjusting the counterweight and vehicle configuration, this model can also reduce the single-axle load to below 9 tonnes and keep the gross vehicle weight below 45 tonnes. Henneberger's business covers the German states of Thuringia, Bavaria and Hesse, and the new machine will be used for lifting tasks requiring cross-state road transport as well as those subject to passage restrictions such as bridge loads and road widths.

In terms of construction control configuration, the LTM 1100-5.3 is equipped with the LICCON3 crane control system and features RemoteDrive chassis remote control. Operators can control the vehicle chassis movement from outside the crane for equipment positioning in narrow construction sites; lifting operations can also use a wireless remote control system and boom camera. Henneberger's existing LTM 1250-5.1 and LTM 1300-6.3 units are already equipped with boom camera systems, and this delivery further increases the number of its mobile lifting machines using related control configurations.

According to official Liebherr information, the LTM 1100-5.3 features the VarioBase variable outrigger support system and the VarioBallast variable counterweight system, and is equipped with a Stage V diesel engine. With the introduction of this model, Henneberger's mobile lifting equipment coverage now extends to 100-tonne-class daily "taxi-style" lifting operations, allowing it to drive directly to the construction site with part of the working counterweight on board to perform tasks.
