Italy's Axolift Secures Order for 50 Electric Aerial Work Platforms from Norway
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 21, Italian aerial work equipment manufacturer Axolift received an initial order for 50 units from Cramo Norway, the Norwegian subsidiary of Dutch equipment rental group Boels. The purchased model is the Elift 3.0 fully electric self-propelled mast climbing work platform. The equipment has a maximum working height of 4.95 meters, a rated load of 180 kg, and an overall weight of 380 kg. It will feature Boels Group's exclusive orange livery and branding, and upon delivery will enter the local Norwegian equipment rental market.

The Elift 3.0 is powered by a 24V DC battery, with a maximum platform lift height of 2.95 meters. The work platform measures 890 mm × 645 mm and is additionally equipped with a tool tray with a 20 kg load capacity. The machine has an overall width of 770 mm and length of 1230 mm, with a stowed height of approximately 1.77 meters, allowing it to pass through standard building doorways to access indoor work areas. Platform lifting time is approximately 17 seconds, and it is equipped with an integrated battery charger and hydraulic lowering mechanism.
The model features a four-wheel chassis with rear-wheel foot brakes, an automatic braking system, a tilt alarm device, an emergency lowering control, and a platform entry guard gate. The equipment can be transported via forklift slots in the chassis, and the drive mechanism supports manual movement after disengaging the power connection. The product carries CE conformity certification and complies with the EN 280 aerial work platform standard, making it suitable for building facility maintenance, industrial equipment servicing, warehousing, and interior construction in commercial buildings.
This batch of 50 units will join Cramo Norway's rental fleet and gradually be made available for rental services across Norway. The equipment features Boels branding, in line with the group's ongoing brand integration plan for the Nordic and Baltic regions. On September 16, 2026, Boels announced that starting that month it would gradually unify its Cramo operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania under the Boels Rental brand, with the conversion planned for completion by 2030.
Axolift is manufactured by Italian company Gromet, and its Elift 3.0 became available on the market in October 2024 as an upgraded product replacing the previous Elift 350 model. The buyer is the Norwegian rental company under Boels Group, with 50 units as the initial purchase quantity; further units will be deployed according to rental fleet demand.
