en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 20, Wen Shugang, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., and Zhong Guodong, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary, met with Lin Wu, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, in Jinan. Following the talks, China Huaneng and the Shandong Provincial Government signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Supporting the Construction of a Green, Low-Carbon, and High-Quality Development Pilot Zone in Shandong. Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the event alongside Wen Shugang. Zhang Haibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, and Zhong Guodong signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Shan Yi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General, along with Si Weiguo, Vice President and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Group Company, participated in the event.

According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on deepening cooperation in areas such as major strategic investments and key project implementation, the development and utilization of new energy, and the optimization and upgrading of coal power, jointly promoting green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.

During the talks, Lin Wu, on behalf of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Government, welcomed Wen Shugang, Zhong Guodong, and their delegation, and expressed gratitude for China Huaneng's long-term strong support for Shandong's development. He stated that Shandong is currently fully implementing the important speeches and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Shandong, firmly shouldering the mission of "leading the way and taking on major responsibilities," and advancing the construction of a modern and strong province with solid steps. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Shandong will vigorously promote the construction of a modern industrial system centered on manufacturing, cultivate and expand emerging pillar industries and potential industries, and accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation and development. Lin Wu expressed hope that both sides would further strengthen communication and coordination, jointly accelerate the efficiency of major project construction, continuously deepen practical cooperation in emerging fields, and advance cooperation to broader spaces and deeper levels. He noted that China Huaneng places great importance on its development in Shandong, having been deeply rooted in the province for nearly 40 years, becoming the largest power generation and heating enterprise in Shandong, forming a multi-industry coordinated development pattern. Currently, China Huaneng is thoroughly studying and implementing the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of the Group's headquarters, ensuring that all work deployments are implemented without compromise.
