en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, July 21, 2026 – Embraer announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK that it has secured firm orders for 28 E2 series aircraft from three airlines: Abra Group, Binter, and Luxair.

Abra Group, a Latin American aviation holding company that owns Brazil's Gol, Colombia's Avianca, and Spain's Wamos Air, has signed a firm order for 20 E195-E2 aircraft, along with purchase rights for 10 additional units and options for 15 more, potentially bringing the total order to 45 aircraft. This marks Abra Group's first purchase of Embraer aircraft, with the first E195-E2 scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027. Abra Group CEO Adrian Neuhauser stated, "The E195-E2 will provide Abra with the flexibility to seize new opportunities as part of our prudent fleet strategy."

Binter, a Spanish airline based in the Canary Islands and a long-time Embraer E2 series operator, has confirmed an additional order for 5 E195-E2 aircraft, with purchase rights for 4 more. The airline currently operates 16 E195-E2s in a single-class 132-seat configuration, primarily serving routes connecting the Canary Islands with mainland Spain and European destinations.

Luxair, the national airline of Luxembourg, has converted purchase rights for 3 E190-E2 aircraft into firm orders and secured purchase rights for one additional aircraft of the same model, bringing its total firm orders for the E2 series to 9. Additionally, Japan's Fuji Dream Airlines ordered 2 first-generation E175 aircraft during the airshow, which are also included in Embraer's order backlog.

Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, commented on the company's product strategy during the airshow: "We are a very capable company, but we need to decide what we want to do." He noted that the company's order backlog is at a historic high and is expected to continue growing, providing greater assurance for the company's business development.
